Marathon #2 Crystal Springs Marathon, Jan 21, 2017

Only here can you think about choosing to do a marathon a month, and find marathons each month within an hour's drive. For January, I picked Crystal Springs Trail Run Marathon , in Woodside, CA.  They are managed by Coastal trail runs group.    I have done some 50k's with these guys before kids were born some 7-8 years ago (read as when my legs used to love uphills).  They really have a professional staff and well marked courses and the beer/hot-soup/grilled-sandwiches aren't something you get to see at road races.   God bless them. On track Its turning out harder than I thought! Donate Cisco Matching (Requires Cisco VPN, detailed instructions below)   We are blessed to be living in bay area.  Running mecca it is. 20th december is a auspicious day, and a day for me to start the year with reflections of past year and a good habit for next.  Last year resulted in me getting off meat and so far, I only see positives (and don't miss it). This year, its run every day (a minimum 3 miles). First goal was double digit, which I managed (day 10 was extremely hard, thanks to a snow in tahoe where my merrell kept ice-slipping on the road - a few rubber bands on the shoes made it a snow shoe and rest of the run went smooth).   Next day not so much, as the snow kept falling all day (which made things really beautiful except for the run part).
