On track
Its turning out harder than I thought!
We are blessed to be living in bay area. Running mecca it is.
20th december is a auspicious day, and a day for me to start the year with reflections of past year and a good habit for next. Last year resulted in me getting off meat and so far, I only see positives (and don't miss it).
This year, its run every day (a minimum 3 miles).
First goal was double digit, which I managed (day 10 was extremely hard, thanks to a snow in tahoe where my merrell kept ice-slipping on the road - a few rubber bands on the shoes made it a snow shoe and rest of the run went smooth). Next day not so much, as the snow kept falling all day (which made things really beautiful except for the run part).
You learn and let nature take over.
Day 11th, and Day 13 (when we had to extend our stay as we couldn't get out of snow) were non running days (but brightlight being day 12 of continuation:)
21 days is what it takes to make a habit and I am happy to reached that milestone of run a day by Jan 13th!
Run a day is a commitment but much harder than I thought. There have been nights where I had to literally push myself to get to garage treadmill but its getting easier now.
Next marathon (#2) is Jan 21st!
